#1. Fund the Working Families Rebate Program
The bill on a temporary increase in sales taxes (three tenths of one percent) did not pass but had the Working Families Tax Credit in it as a key provision. LPPO along with many other organizations were strong supporters of this.
The LPPO was instrumental in putting together and publicizing an “Open Letter on the Need for Revenue” from our state’s top religious leaders. View the letter (pdf).
